in 2008, Karin Dreijer Andersson from The Knife came out with her solor project Fever Ray. In the video for the song "If i had a heart" she appeard in a painted skeletal get up, that was creepy, bizarre and artistically advanced...but now Lady Gaga and even Weezy (lil Wayne) are featuring the same kind of concept in their videos and are being showcased for their "over the top" forward thinking creativity...when in reality it's been done before, by a much more talented artist. well, i like Lil Wayne, so i won't go there, but i do hate copy cats. The "Born This Way" song is nothing but a rip off of Express Yourself by Madonna. Seriously, go take a listen. Her "Alejandro" video was another rip off. I like Lady Gaga cause she makes me shake my booty but her stuff isn't really that innovative. I shook my booty the same amount the first time I heard it in the 90's when it really was innovative.

ReplyDeleteI"m not a fan of Gaga. yes she is good pop, but i'm tired of saying she's innovative and i'm tired of people saying she's so forward thinking...people like The Knife/Fever Ray did it a long time ago. and though Britney can't sing and was a train wreck for a couple years, she sill knows how to make good pop music and she's beautiful when she brings her A game.
